Ministers and Staff
Rev. Janet J. Kwiatkowski, M.S., M.F.T.
Minister for Family Life and Christian Formation
Dennis, my husband of 30 years, and I have four young adult sons (27, 26, 23, 22) and two wonderful daughters-in-law. Our grandson is in his first year of bringing new delight into our lives. Three dogs and two cats complete the household. It is within the context of living and wrestling with all that accompanies a marriage, job and career changes, decisions to re-orient our family faith tradition, and raising four sons (one of whom has special needs), that I have come to develop my passions for walking with and helping individuals and families discover meaning, clarify direction or healing relationships between themselves and with God. Along the way I pursued a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, a Master of Science in Psychology (with focus on organizational psychology which is seminary required coursework for ordination to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church), my current post-graduate residency in Marriage and Family Therapy, and my membership in Spiritual Director’s International.
Rev. Barry W. Szymanski, J.D.
Minister of Pastoral Care
A 'second career' minister, Barry entered Saint Francis Seminary, graduating with his Master's Degree in Pastoral Studies in May 2006, and was ordained later that year. Barry began his law career in 1973 and continues with his practice to this day. During his seminary internship at Children's Hospital he began to integrate his seminary studies with ministry and his life education. He graduated from Clinical Pastoral Education, having served for six months at Elmbrook Hospital. His primary passion, since grade school, has been photography. He has also been active in martial arts and has taught many self-defense classes. Barry believes that the task of today's pastor is to make the faith dynamic - to bring it to life.
