Community Outreach
An important part of Christian life is helping others. Here are some programs and
ministries we support.
Congregational Home, Inc.
Founded in 1974 by the First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa,
this facility provides independent living, assisted living and nursing care. The board of
directors is composed primarily of members of this church. We contribute financial support
to the home as well as provide many volunteers to help make the facility the special place
that it is. For information on volunteering, contact DdG Wakefield, Director of Volunteers,

Learning and Sharing About Alzheimer's Disease
Who is Invited? Everyone - family, friends, residents, caregivers, staff, etc.
What? Presentations of topics concerning Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders.
When and Where? 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Activity Center.
Contact? Addie Balde, our Memory Care Coordiantor, 262-781-0550 ext. 181, if you are planning to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
Greater Tosa Interfaith
Greater Tosa Interfaith is anoutreach program for the elderly to
provide services to help the elderly remain in their homes for as long as possible. Our
church contributes financial support and has members serve on the board of directors and
also provides some volunteers to the organization.
Tosa Community Food Bank
The Tosa Food Bank serves clients living in ZIP codes 53213, 53222,
53225, 53226, or any church member attending a Wauwatosa church may use it. The pantry gives
food to about 70-80 families each month who receive several bags of food depending on the
family size. Our church supports the pantry with food donations and financial gifts.
St. Vincent Meal Program
The St. Vincent Meal Program provides dinners for the needy in this
south side neighborhood. Our church volunteers are responsible for buying, preparing, transporting and serving the meal
the first Friday of every month.
The Hosea Fund
The purpose of the Hosea Fund of the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Milwaukee is to help families get on their feet spiritually and financially. Families may also receive counseling and discipleship training. Our church supports the fund financially as well as with donations of school supplies, Bibles, and sports equipment.
Congregational Aid Fund
This is an internal fund at our church to provide emergency assistance
to church members in need.
Ongoing Benevolence Giving
Congregational Foundation for Theological Studies (CFTS)
CFTS is an arm of the National
Association of Congregational Christian churches to provide quality education in Congregational
history and polity, as well as qualified leadership for the NACCC.Our church sponsors
a scholarship for selected CFTS students each year.
FCC Scholarship Fund
The Scholarship Fund assists ministerial students and provides financial
assistance for needy or qualified college students who are members of our church. Scholarships
and grants are made
primarily to students studying for a church vocation.

Foreign Missions
Mission Mazahua, Mexico
Mission Mazahua, near Mexico City, addresses the needs of the whole
person - social, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The church supports the mission
financially and has made trips to the mission to build projects.
Civil Cristiana Congregational Mission, Argentina
This mission in Jardin America, Argentina,
seeks to preach the Gospel, share the love and compassion of Christ through spiritual nurture
and material assistance, and help families become self sufficient and gain self respect.
Special Offering for Christmas 2007 - Donations wil be sent to these three organizations
Mission Mazahua, Mexico
Mission Mazahua, near Mexico City, addresses the needs of the whole person - social, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The church supports the mission financially and has made trips to the mission to build projects. In fact, 41 adults and students from three area Congregational churches will be leaving on December 26 for a week-long mission trip.
Hosea Project
A program that provides assistance for people in transition and which is a partnership with Pilgrim Congregational Church in Milwaukee, WI.
Milwaukee Rescue Mission
A program for families who are working on spiritual development and job opportunities in Milwaukee, WI.
